It can be embarrassing to have one parent face prison time, but to have both your parents spend time in jail can be cause for humiliation. Gia Giudice, daughter of reality TV star Teresa Giudice (The Real Housewives of New Jersey), is handling the situation surprisingly well for someone her age. Teresa Giudice was charged with fraud and is currently serving a 15-month jail sentence.
In a recent interview, Gia commented how anything can happen to anyone in life and that she is just grateful that her parents are in good health and will be coming home.
Growing up Young
At 14 years old, Gia Giudice is facing these challenges at a young age. As the older sister of three siblings, she has had to mature quickly to take on the job of role model in the family. Gia is keeping her eyes focused on her own goal of becoming a singer and being a strong support for dad while mom is away.
The whole family is feeling the crunch with mom being absent, including dad who has spoken about how wife Teresa is putting on a brave face but obviously just wants to be home. Most likely, dad Joe is preparing mentally for his own upcoming stint in prison for fraud.
A Grateful Outlook Keeps Giudice Family Sane
Throughout it all, Gia mentions that gratitude and positivity are helping them through this time. “Things could be worse” and “grateful that everyone is healthy” are the tunes being sung in the RHONJ vet’s household, which is undoubtedly making a difference in how Gia, her siblings, and dad Joe are holding up.
If Gia Giudice is any example of how her little sisters are doing without mom, one could say that the Giudice family is keeping it together. While mom Giudice spends time in jail for her actions, Joe and the girls stay strong at home. Gia says, “When my mom comes home, it’s not even something to prepare for. I’m just so happy for that to happen. It’s going to be good to have it back to normal for a couple months.”
